Ceara Limestone – Sandblasted Brushed is a dense, compacted limestone that performs exceptionally well in outdoor and wet environments. Thanks to its natural density and low porosity, the stone does not require sealing when installed in full-sun conditions, making it a low-maintenance and highly durable choice.

Geologically, Ceara Limestone was formed in a Sabkha environment—a warm, shallow tidal setting. The stone consists of tightly packed lime pellets, fossil fragments, and foraminifera, all cemented by translucent calcite cement (sparite). This natural process results in a very dense structure with minimal porosity and permeability, leading to low water absorption and excellent long-term stability.

Its consistent cream color is derived from iron carbonates within the stone. Because permeability is extremely low, these iron components do not oxidize into unsightly brown patches over time. This ensures a clean, uniform appearance that remains stable in exterior conditions, even in tropical climates.

Ceara Limestone is therefore highly suitable for both interior and exterior applications, including flooring, wall cladding, terraces, pool surrounds, and submerged pool areas. Its combination of natural beauty, geological stability, slip resistance, and minimal maintenance requirements makes it an excellent decorative natural stone for demanding environments.
